John M. Luttrell

Chief Manager, Luttrell Development LLC

John Luttrell grew up in Knox County and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration. He is the owner and Chief Manager of Luttrell Development LLC which is a residential construction and development company operating primarily in Knox County and concentrating on providing affordable housing for first-time and move-up buyers. He has been in the residential construction business since 1972 and has owned his own business since 1976.

He is a licensed general contractor and a licensed real estate broker. He is a member and past president of the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Knoxville and a member of the Knoxville Association of Realtors. He formerly served on the Knoxville-Knox County MPC and the Knox County Board of Standards and Applications.

He currently serves on the Board for the Helen Ross McNabb Mental Health Center. He has also served on the boards for the Moses Teen Center of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Knoxville, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has been actively involved with Knoxville Habbitat for Humanity since it's inception. He has also served as a deacon and an elder at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church.

Adam Luttrell

Controller, Luttrell Development LLC

Adam has been working with Luttrell Development since June of 2007. He grew up in the Knoxville area and around the family business. He received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in Accounting and Taxation, also from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining Luttrell Development, Adam worked as a corporate tax advisor in Atlanta, GA. He is a licensed certified public accountant and a licensed affiliate real estate broker.

Frank Leonard

Assistant Manager, Luttrell Development LLC

Frank has been working with Luttrell Development since August of 2005. Since joining Luttrell Development, he has built homes and has renovated both residential and commercial property throughout the greater Knoxville area. Currently, Frank is building single family homes in the Whelahan Farm subdivision. He also assists in the overall management of the construction side of Luttrell Development. In addition to these responsibilities, Frank also manages multiple rental properties throughout the Knoxville area.

Frank is originally from Charlotte, NC. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University and is a licensed General Contractor in the state of Tennessee. He is also a licensed Real Estate Agent. Frank is an active member of Redemer Church of Knoxville. He and his wife, Laura, have one son and another child on the way.

Judy Luttrell

Design Coordinator, Luttrell Development LLC

Judy has served in a variety of roles over the years at Luttrell Development. A native of Virginia Judy received an undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University and a graduate degree from the University of Tennessee. After teaching special education and kindergarten she began working with John after their marriage in 1978 and initially did the bookkeeping for the company. As the company continued to grow she oversaw the conversion from a manual bookkeeping system to a computer version along with assisting in design, sales and marketing. After many years of day to day involvement Judy has cut back her role to make room for her community involvement. She is currently in charge of design and choice selection for each of the floor plans offered in our different communities. Judy served for more than 15 years on the board and was responsible for installing the first bookkeeping system used by Habitat for Humanity in Knoxville. She currently is a member of the Advisory Board at Habitat. She is a long time member of Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church where she has served as an elder. She and John are the parents of two children and one grand child.

Joe Bruner

Manager/ Superintendent, Luttrell Bruner LLC

Joe is a licensed general contractor with over 25 years experience in construction and building materials industry.

Joe joined Luttrell Development in 1994 as a partner and field superintendent and is currently a manager in Luttrell Bruner LLC. Since that time he has been responsible for the construction of approximately 80 homes in Tellico Village, Lakeridge, Amberleigh and Dogwood View neighborhoods.

Joe has been a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville since 1977 and was president of the organization in 1998. He still serves as an honorary member of the board of directors.

In addition, Joe spent 24 years as an officer in the Army and Army Reserve and retired in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is also a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Cliff Shadwell

Manager/ Superintendent, Luttrell Shadwell LLC

Cliff joined the Luttrell family of companies in 2002. He is a manager of Luttrell Shadwell LLC. Cliff is a field Superintendent and has built numerous townhomes and single family homes since joining Luttrell Development LLC.

Originally born and raised in Long Island, NY, Cliff moved and has called Knoxville home since 1982. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a licensed General Contractor in the state of Tennessee. He has been in residential construction since 1988. Before joining Luttrell, Cliff was a field superintendent with Habitat for Humanity.
